LifeFactFuture at the Nokia Corporation’s Veturi LEAD Networking Event

Last week on 30th October, LifeFactFuture was showcased at the Business Finland Veturi LEAD Networking event organised by Nokia. Nearly 30 active or preparatory projects attended the event, and the aim was to share information about the research and plans being carried out within the projects. The objective was to identify common denominators between consortiums and enable future collaboration.

The LifeFactFuture project was presented by researchers Viktoriia Shubina from the University of Turku and Yazid Bounab from the University of Helsinki. LFF was one of the few projects focused on the life science field present in the event. Nevertheless, several potential synergies, for example from a benchmarking perspective, were identified. Thank you to Nokia for organising the event!

As one of the keynote speakers at the event, Sixten Sandström from Business Finland emphasised the importance of courage in the projects. He also reminded all members of the Business Finland consortium projects that no one is alone in their project and encouraged active collaboration instead of working in isolation. The essence of co-innovation, as the name suggests, is collaborative ideation and growth.

At the event, LifeFactFuture identified possible synergies, for instance, with DIMECC’s MEFI Metaverse Finland ecosystem, where there could be interesting opportunities in the direction of Metaverse Health. Also VTT’s Prada project, set to launch in early 2026, seems like an intriguing new initiative that might provide new collaboration opportunities for LifeFactFuture and LifeFactFuture partners in the future.
