Accessibility
We aspire to make the conference an open and welcoming space for everyone to take part! Please see below for accessibility information related to the different spaces in which the conference and related events will be held. If you have any specific accessibility needs you would like to discuss with us in advance, please get in touch with the conference committee at naasturku2025@gmail.com.
Conference venue: The conference will be held at the Publicum building on the campus of the University of Turku, address Assistentinkatu 7. All floors can be accessed both by stairs and an elevator. Some panels will be held in lecture halls with stairs. Please note that lecture hall Pub1 is entered from the back of the room and accessible seating is at the back near the entrance. Speakers will need to walk down several stairs to reach the front of the room. In all other rooms with stairs, the entrance and accessible seating is at the front of the room.
Coffee breaks will be held in the ground floor lobby of the Publicum building. Lunches will be held in the university cafeteria on the ground floor of the Educarium building, next door to Publicum.
The ground floor of the Publicum building has a quiet space available for use as a sensory retreat room. The room is located on the ground floor and is called Hiljentymishuone 106.2. Please note that the room is available for the university staff and students as well.
Reception, Wednesday, June 4: ground floor at the conference venue, in the Publicum building.
Dinner, Thursday, June 5: Restaurant Grädda, c. 800 meters from the conference venue. There are four steps to the front entrance, but there is also a ramp with a handrail.
After Party, Friday, June 6: Bar Ullakko, in the center of Turku. Please note that there is a flight of stairs to the room and the building does not have an elevator. Unfortunately, the venue does not have an accessible entrance.
The University of Turku discourages using fragrances on campus. Strong fragrances can cause e.g. headaches, migraines, and nausea. Please avoid the use of strongly fragranced products, including perfumes and after shave lotions.
