Postdoc Life: Challenges and Solutions
Joint Seminar of the National Finnish Doctoral Programmes in Oral Sciences (FINDOS)
The National FINDOS network will host a nationwide symposium for all doctoral researchers in oral health sciences and their supervisors in Helsinki on 19 October 2026. Participation is free of charge for doctoral researchers and supervisors, including coffee, lunch, and a cocktail reception.

Digital Poster Submission
We warmly invite doctoral researchers to submit a digital poster for presentation at FINDOS 2026.
Digital posters should be prepared as a short PowerPoint presentation that can be viewed independently as a “read-by-title” presentation. The presentations will be displayed automatically on screens during conference breaks. Authors are encouraged to be present near the display area during breaks to answer questions and discuss their work with participants.
Poster Format
- The presentation must contain a maximum of 3 slides.

Slide 1 (Title slide) should include:
- Title of the research
- Author(s) and affiliation(s)
- An illustrative image (recommended)

Slides 2–3 should present:
- Objective
- Materials and Methods
- Results
- Conclusions
The total text on slides 2–3 should not exceed 250 words.
Submission Instructions
- Prepare your digital poster in PowerPoint format (.pptx).
- Name the file: Lastname_Firstname_FINDOS2026.pptx
- Upload the file via the submission link provided in the conference email.

Deadline
The extended deadline for digital poster submission is 15 September 2026.
3-Minute Presentation Competition
We invite doctoral researchers to participate in the 3-Minute Presentation Competition.
Participants present their research project in just three minutes to a general academic audience. A prize will be awarded to the winner. If the number of registrations exceeds the available presentation slots, a pre-selection round may be organised.

Finnish Doctoral Program in Oral Sciences (FINDOS) is a network between research groups and doctoral education at the dental schools in Finland (Universities of Helsinki, Eastern Finland, Oulu and Turku). Professor Ulvi Gursoy (University of Turku) is the Chair of the network.
FINDOS brings together preclinical and clinical researchers nationwide, encouraging exchange of knowledge and improving possibilities for translational dental research. The network organises seminars, summer schools and annual meetings.
