PHOTOSYN is operated within the Molecular Plant Biology unit at the Department of Life Technologies, Faculty of Technology, University of Turku.

PHOTOSYN supports molecular research on oxygenic photosynthetic organisms, including plants, algae, and cyanobacteria. It covers diverse research areas such as biochemistry, biophysics, molecular biology, synthetic biology, genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and biotechnology.
