COOPERATION

STRATEGIG FORESIGHT NETWORK OF FINNISH UNIVERSITIES

The strategic foresight network of all Finnish universities was established in September 2022. This was an initiative of the Strategic Planning Unit of the University of Turku.

The network started with a meeting that brought together experts from different universities who do strategic foresight in one way or another or are about to start strategic foresight work at their university. The meeting discussed challenges and needs as well as experiences and ideas related to strategic foresight work. An important goal was to find ways to strengthen strategic foresight through cooperation between universities. All participants shared their interest in continuing and deepening cooperation to promote strategic foresight.

After September 2022, the network has held two 2-day meetings, which have further strengthened cooperation on the topic. The first meeting was organized on 2-3 February 2023 in Helsinki and the second on 31 August-1 September 2023 in Jyväskylä. The next meeting of the network is planned for March in Vaasa.
