Welcoming our 6 new doctoral researchers
We’re pleased to share that our Smart Systems research group has grown to 23 members. Last Friday, we introduced 6 new doctoral researchers to the team, each bringing valuable expertise in a range of important and innovative areas.
Their research covers topics such as autonomous robotics, intelligent navigation systems, drone fleet optimization and control, and AI-based predictive maintenance. We’re looking forward to seeing how their work contributes to the group’s ongoing projects.
Our new talented doctoral researchers are (in alphabetical order): Amos Alwala, Carlos Cueto Zumaya, Lukas Zehner, Markku Noroaho, Shoolpani Dubey, and Yuchen Hu. Supervision will be led by Assoc. Prof. Wallace Moreira Bessa (main supervisor), with support from a team of co-supervisors: Prof. Jussi Kantola, Prof. Tomi Westerlund, and Dr. Jani Heikkinen.
Stay tuned, as we’ll soon be sharing short introductions for each of the new members!
