“My interests lie in mechanical systems design, intelligent control, and robotics, with a strong passion for designing autonomous robotic systems.”
What is your research about?
“My research focuses on advancing environmental data perception in uncertain and dynamic environments. It aims to address critical challenges in environmental monitoring, disaster response, and sustainability. Key areas of focus include developing a multi-modal perception framework for real-time data collection and optimizing control algorithms for drone fleets. By enhancing UAV capabilities, this research seeks to deliver timely, accurate, and actionable data to drive decision-making for environmental sustainability.”
Amos Alwala’s work is supervised by Prof. Wallace Moreira Bessa and part of UTU-GreDiT: Solutions for Green and Digital Transition, a unique COFUND doctoral training programme led by University of Turku, Finland. UTU-GreDiT is co-funded by European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme’s Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action.
