Research Team Leader

Jovana Milić, Associate Professor, jovana.milic@utu.fi

She has been leading the Smart Energy Materials research group since September 2024 in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Turku. She is also working Adolphe Merkle Institute as a Swiss National Science Foundation PRIMA Fellow and Assistant Professor at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland. Her research relies on a multidisciplinary approach at the interface of chemistry, physics, material science, and engineering to develop functional materials and devices. She operates within an international collaborative network of researchers worldwide, and she is dedicated to science outreach, policy, and diplomacy, supporting scientists globally.
