HEMI and SPG finalized for trials

STIMULUS devices HEMI and SPG have now been finalized for clinical use. Imec and University of Turku teams have visited Aalborg Hospital for dedicated training sessions to introduce the devices and gain feedback. Clinical trials will soon be performed at Aalborg Hospital and Inserm.

As part of the visits, a stakeholder workshop was organized to gather perspectives from clinical experts. During the session, doctors were invited to share their views: How do they perceive the device? Do they anticipate any challenges in daily use or accessibility? And which clinical use cases do they consider most relevant? Overall, the clinicians were enthusiastic. They provided valuable feedback on potential pitfalls and improvements, which will feed directly into the development of the next-generation combined platform: the hemi-speckle device.
