Welcome to the annual Social Work Research Days!

The event will once again bring together a wide range of researchers, students, and other professionals in the field to reflect on current issues in social work.

This year’s theme is “Social Work and Economy”, a topic that is currently prominent in many ways in both social work research and practice. The theme brings into discussion how the challenges encountered in social work are connected not only to individual situations but also to the conditions shaped by political economy. In social work, examining the economy is also linked to everyday-level phenomena that have a comprehensive impact on clients’ livelihoods and participation.

The event will examine how and why social work and the economy are interconnected on multiple levels. The discussions will also address the forms of societal and professional intervention required of social work in a time of economic challenge.
