The European Conference on Educational Research (ECER) 2026, which will be held from 18 to 21 August 2026, will bring together nearly 4,000 participants from all over the world in Tampere.
It is the largest conference on educational research in Europe, and this year’s event is set to be the most popular ECER ever in terms of attendance.
Over 4,400 abstracts were submitted to the conference, a record in ECER history. The theme of the event, “Knowing and Acting: The changing conditions and potentials of educational research”, will raise the issue of current issues in education, research and societal change.
