The objective of the VIISAAT project is to develop sustainable and innovative solutions that will enable small and medium-sized enterprises to thrive amid the changes brought about by climate change. The project also provides companies with information and expertise on preventing and managing the risks of climate change, as well as on developing disaster preparedness and resilience.
What are the objectives of the project?
VIISAAT identifies and provides information to companies on concrete models and tools for preparing for and adapting to climate change, with a view to supporting strategic planning and decision-making. VIISAAT is dedicated to identifying and testing innovative digital solutions that facilitate sustainability reporting and value chain collaboration, as well as promoting the use of sustainability data in business development.
The result is a set of methods and tools suitable for SMEs: the “climate-resilient management process model.” It assists companies in preparing for and adapting to changes in their operating environment. The objective is to enhance a company’s competitiveness and resilience in dynamic and uncertain environments.
In order to achieve preparedness, adaptation and overall security, it is essential to establish cooperation between value chains, networks and authorities. The project evaluates methods and tools, taking into account the perspectives of value chains and stakeholder cooperation.
