VIISAAT

Strong climate resilience, innovative adaptation and adaptive action

The VIISAAT project develops an openly accessible, AI-assisted advisory service to support climate-resilient management

The project maps knowledge, operating models and methods related to preparing for climate change through risk management and adapting to climate change through business development. Particular attention is given to solutions that support companies’ strategic planning and decision-making.

The aim is to strengthen companies’ ability to prepare for risks, withstand disruptions and adapt their operations to changing conditions while remaining competitive in an uncertain operating environment.

The project will produce an AI-assisted advisory service designed particularly for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises. The service will help users to:

  • identify key risks and opportunities and assess their potential impacts
  • prioritise the necessary preparedness and adaptation measures
  • identify the cooperation needs and partners essential to preparedness and adaptation
  • strengthen their capacity for systematic, coordinated preparedness
  • enhance their company’s ability to adapt to change

The advisory service will contribute to comprehensive security—that is, safeguarding the vital functions of society through cooperation between companies, public authorities and other actors. It will place particular emphasis on issues relevant to the economy and business community of the Satakunta region.

Preparing for climate change and strengthening comprehensive security require cooperation both among companies and between companies, public authorities and other public-sector actors. The project therefore places particular emphasis on operating models that support inter-organisational cooperation.

Timeline

The prototype of the advisory service will be designed and developed during 2026. The service will subsequently be refined through an iterative process based on testing and feedback from companies and experts. The advisory service will be completed during 2028.
