Anna Vuorinne was awarded the Humanist Doctor of the Year 2023

Project member Anna Vuorinne was awarded the University of Turku Humanist Doctor of the Year 2023 award. Her doctoral thesis Understanding Abuse and Justice through Genres. Migration and Human Rights in Contemporary German Comics (2023) examines migration and human rights in different genres of contemporary German comics. The dissertation was praised for its topicality, multidisciplinary nature, and clear presentation (in Finnish).
