Kathmandu University
Kathmandu University (KU) established in 1991 is an autonomous, non-profit, non-government, public institution dedicated to provide quality education. Taking up the challenge of a rapidly changin operational environment, Kathmandu University helps generate intellectual abilities of students and educates and trains them to work in fields where they will be valued both for their specialized knowledge, and for their ability to research, communicate and solve problems. Geared with its excellent staff, students, facilities and relevant academic programmes, Kathmandu University holds a firm place among universities in Nepal and is building its way towards ascertaining a stronghold among the world’s leading universities.Total student enrolment at Kathmandu University is estimated at over 16 000.
Purbanchal University
Purwanchal University (PU) was established in 1993 with the aims to develop higher education in the country in a decentralized manner and to expand the opportunities of higher education into rural parts of the country. Purwanchal University brings up well-rounded and outstanding citizens to society who are competent in meeting the local and global challenges. PU’s location outside the capital Kathmandu has a critical role in support and guidance to develop course modules/materials on climate change education. Purbanchal University and its constituent colleges’ total student enrolment is c. 26 128.
Wageningen University
Wageningen University & Research is an academic collaboration between between Wageningen University and the Wageningen Research foundation. The collaboration employs over 6 500 staff and the student enrolment is approximately 12 000.
University of Turku
University of Turku is a multidisciplinary and international research university. UTU student enrolment is approximately 20 000, and it employs 3 400 staff members. UTU acts as the SUCCESSFUL project coordinator.
