Learning from the first wave of climate assemblies

16.06.2022 13:15 - 14:30

Citizens’ assemblies are regarded as a remedy to the political inertia in climate change mitigation. In recent years, there have been several national assemblies dealing with climate policies, e.g. in the UK, France and Denmark. What are the main lessons from climate assemblies so far?

You are welcome to join discussion on climate assemblies on Thursday 16th of June. Professor Graham Smith (University of Westminster and KNOCA) will give a talk entitled “Learning from the first wave of climate assemblies: what needs to change?” and professor Brigitte Geißel (Goethe University Frankfurt) will give comments.
