Ours is a time of a global environmental crisis. Biological diversity is rapidly impoverishing, and the climate is warming. With the pandemic raging, it would be difficult not to be aware of the accelerating pace of devastation.
In our relationship to nonhuman nature, we are currently experiencing an interregnum where old concepts no longer apply but new language is yet to emerge. This project traces the ways contemporary Finnish literature figures its way in this changing environment.
