Application

Keen to join?

Complete the form by providing your contact and study information, a brief 2-3 paragraph of the motivations and skillset for the camp and your CV. Students from both Finland and Singapore can use the same form to apply.

Do take note of the following key points before your application:

  1. There will be 8 students each from Singapore and Finland to participate in the camp;
  2. The camp is open to both undergraduate and postgraduate students across all disciplines (at least in your second year of studies). Maritime knowledge is a bonus but we definitely welcome multiple skillsets and fresh ideas to solve “difficult” maritime problems;
  3. Only students who can commit full-time for the duration of the camp in December 2022, including participating in briefing sessions and traveling (from Singapore), will be selected as participants.
  4. Student’s skillsets, motivation, discipline of study will be taken into consideration during selection process. There may also be an interview process for students from Singapore during the selection process;
  5. For students from Finland, completion of the camp can be registered by Turku School of Economics as study credits. Students from other universities and faculties may ask from their own study coordinators or similar about the possibility to have it registered into their degrees according to their own instructions.
  6. For students from Singapore, there will be a non-refundable commitment fee of S$500 to secure participation in the camp as the cost for the camp and related traveling and accomodation are almost fully sponsored.
  7. Registration for students in Singapore has now been closed. Registration for  students in Finland is open until 21th October 2022.  (Update: application period now extended!)
