Marjaana Korpi and the Kidisafe team will launch an animation of fire safety

Injury prevention and fire safety promotion are themes in the new animation that will be launched in September. This animation is partially funded by the Finnish Fire Prevention Fund.

Special education teacher for early childhood education Marjaana Koski and the Kidisafe team will produce the animation. The aim is to teach the highlights of fire prevention  for the early education aged children. The animation describes every day life at the fire station. The animation is produced in close collaboration with Rescue Department of Satakunta. When published the material can be used without any cost in all the kidergartens.

In the main roles there are four fire fighters Mikko, Sanna, Sauli and Jarno. Some of them are real-life inspirations as Mikko, Sauli and Jarno are currently working at the Rescue Department of Satakunta.  Also a new animal character – a bird – appears in the animation. This bird is originally created by master student Tessa Rautiainen.
