KISUVI with two presentations at Utulings research day

The KISUVI project presented its research in two presentations at the traditional Research Day organized by the School of Languages and Translation Studies and the doctoral program Utuling at the University of Turku. This year’s theme was Language in Society.

The Research Day began with presentations of ongoing projects at the School of Languages and Translation Studies, with project leader Maarit Mutta reporting on KISUVI’s activities. The presentation covered the background and different results of KISUVI, as well as its latest and upcoming publications. In addition, the presentation offered a peak into the future of the project, including a guide for teachers and a guest lecture.

The presentation by postdoctoral researchers Mari Mäkilä and Anne-Maj Åberg introduced lexical clusters from the authors’ perspective. Based on follow-up interviews and production processes, the presentation revealed the writers’ views on what they consider to be lexical clusters in different languages and what significance lexical clusters have for them when writing.
