EC2U mobility to Salamanca

Anni had the opportunity to spend two weeks at the University of Salamanca through the EC2U mobility programme. The purpose of the visit was to strengthen collaboration between the University of Turku and the University of Salamanca in nanotechnology and neuromorphic computing.

During the mobility, Anni was introduced to the cleanroom facilities, fabrication processes, and electrical characterization tools used for studying memristive devices. She worked together with the host group to compare protocols and discuss challenges and improvements for future joint experiments. The visit also included discussions on intellectual property (IP) and dissemination strategies, the preparation of a joint scientific publication, as well as planning future exchanges, potential funding applications, and long-term collaboration between the two universities.

The mobility provided Anni with valuable training, new research connections, and a solid foundation for continuing cooperation within the EC2U Alliance. Special thanks to Alejandro Schulman, the University of Salamanca, and the EC2U organization for making the visit possible.
