Cross-disciplinary profiling action and research project of the University of Turku

Welcome

NordicFOOD advances the transition towards sustainable food systems from Nordic and global perspectives. Adopting a systems approach, NordicFOOD profiling measure tackles major challenges in resource, technology, people, and society, as the key elements of food systems. Our goal is to translate the science and technological competence to concrete solutions that enable paradigm shifts in the food systems.

The project is funded by the Research Council of Finland as a part of Profi8 funding for years 2025-2030. It is a part of two University of Turku’s strategic multidisciplinary themes; heath, diagnostics and drug development, and biodiversity and sustainability.
