GameCultTalks #3
Thursday, June 10th, 13:00 to 15:00 EEST/GMT+3
How important for game preservation is the collaboration of various stakeholders? What is the long-term future of partnerships between retrogaming communities, GLAM institutions and academia? Can we make game archives more inclusive and sustainable?
Once again, we would like to invite you to join us in discussion on the past, present and the future of game heritage and related preservation efforts in Finland, as well as internationally. This time the Collaborative Game Histories event is coming to you as part of the GameCult Talks series. It will be a panel discussion to be streamed live on Youtube. We will start with short introductions of the panellists and their experience with game preservation, followed by a joint discussion and a Q&A session. Our panellists are:
Maria B. Garda (CoE GameCult/University of Turku),
Satu Haapakoski (Art of Coding),
Tapani Joelsson (Kasettilamerit).
Niklas Nylund (Finnish Museum of Games),
and Lauri Ojanen (The National Library of Finland),
The event will be moderated by Maria B. Garda and Usva Friman (CoE GameCult/Tampere University).

The event will be streamed on YouTube live on our CoE GameCult channel.
