Seminar: Behind the Scenes of Finnish Working Life

Join us for an afternoon of decoding the Finnish labour market system with expert speakers – what is actually negotiated and by whom? What kind of services do the unions provide their members?

Time: December 3, 13:30-16:00
Place: Medisiina C, Osmo Järvi-sali

After this event, you will understand the roles of employee and employer unions in Finland, as well as the kinds of services they offer their members. Along with this, our expert speakers from Social Science Professionals YKA, Academic Engineers and Architects in Finland TEK, and the Confederation of Finnish Industries EK will join a panel discussion on topics such as “Where is Finnish work-life going?” and “What can the labour market do to support integration?”.

After the discussions, there will be snacks and mingle and we will invite local union representatives to tell more about memberships and benefits.
