Activities

SELMA organizes research events on both theoretical and topical social issues and is committed to interdisciplinary dialogue. It promotes interdisciplinary research and organizes seminars, symposia, workshops, and other events on both theoretical and topical social issues. Profiles from all different backgrounds and disciplines (such as musicians, dancers and visual artists) are warmly welcomed to participate in SELMA events and to take part in them.

The events take place online (specially since the COVID-19 pandemic broke out) and presentially in a variety of spaces which include university facilities, public libraries, theaters, museums or even concert halls. This shows how SELMA aims to be part of the public sphere and establish a dialogue within the local community also outside academia.
