Juha Rinne
Juha Rinne, MD, PhD is a neurologist, currently as a professor and vice-director at Turku PET Centre (University of Turku, Finland) and a consultant neurologist at the Neurocenter (Turku University Hospital, Turku, Finland). He has special interest in neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer´s disease (AD) and Parkinson´s disease (PD), both in clinical work and research. The main research interests include clinical, imaging (PET and MRI), biomarker and treatment studies. He serves as an associate editor, for Journal of Alzheimer´s Disease, Journal of Movement Disorders and Brain Connectivity and as a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of Wallenberg Molecular Imaging Centre, Umeå, Sweden.
He has published more than 400 articles in peer-reviewed international scientific journals. Participated as an investigator in more than 50 clinical drug trials mainly related to AD, mild cognitive impairment or PD and being several times the national principal investigator (PI) or the global PI.
