Petra Parviainen

Petra received her Master of Science degree from Drug Discovery and Development program from the University of Turku in 2020. She completed her master´s thesis in Preclinical Imaging Laboratory of Turku PET Centre. In addition to biomedicine, she has an education in chemistry studies from University of Turku, Faculty of Chemistry. After her graduation in 2020, Petra started working as a research assistant at the Turku PET Centre first in Laura Airas’ group, before starting in the Turku Alzheimer Imaging Lab in 2021.

Petra recently started her PhD project in collaboration with Lauri Nummenmaa´s Lab, studying early risk factors for Alzheimer’s disease. Petra´s study history, work experience and PhD work motivate her to produce useful information to drug development and methods for diagnostics use.
