Academy of Finland Funding Successes 2026
Dr. Manish Kumar has received Academy of Finland Research Fellowship funding for his project on Quantum dot Neuromorphic Computing, which aims to explore next-generation computing architectures inspired by both quantum technologies and brain-like information processing. Microcavity-enhanced ultrafast perovskite quantum dot light-emitting memristors for neuromorphic photonics.
In addition, Professor Petriina Paturi has been awarded Academy Project funding for Smart Self-Protecting Architectures for High-Temperature Superconducting Wires, focusing on developing advanced superconducting technologies for future energy and high-performance applications. Smart Self-Protecting High-Temperature Superconducting Wires (SmartHiTS).
These achievements highlight the group’s growing impact in emerging computing technologies, advanced materials, and intelligent electronic systems.
Congratulations to Dr. Kumar and Prof. Paturi on these prestigious awards.
