Welcome to new group member
We welcome Manish Kumar to our Memristor & Neuromorphic Computing group. He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Aveiro, Portugal, where his research focused on the fabrication of organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). He later joined the University of Turku as an Academy of Finland Postdoctoral Researcher (2021–2025), working on light–matter interactions, microcavities, and distributed Bragg reflector (DBR) fabrication. His expertise includes photonics, thin-film technologies, and advanced deposition techniques such as sputtering, atomic layer deposition (ALD), and physical vapor deposition (PVD).
In our group, he will focus on the fabrication of next-generation memristive devices and artificial neurons for neuromorphic applications. His work will involve advanced micro- and nanofabrication techniques, including ALD, pulsed laser deposition (PLD), lithography, and e-beam processes.
