Professor Daniel Innerarity is Chair in AI & Democracy at the School of Transnational Governance (STG). He is Professor of Political and Social Philosophy at the University of the Basque Country and the Ikerbasque Foundation for Science, Spain. Power and knowledge in the society of ignorance
In recent crises, and at the same time as the need for knowledge and politics to work more closely together has become apparent, the clash between knowledge and power has been raised again. We need to explain both phenomena: why the social problems we face require a great deal of cognitive mobilisation, and what are the limits of conceiving these problems as susceptible to being solved by knowledge.
