The Event

The Annual Conference of the Finnish Political Science Association will be held at the University of Turku on 15–17 May 2024. The theme of the conference is Democracy, knowledge and expertise.

University of Turku as a venue

The FPSA Annual Conference will be held in the Publicum and Educarium buildings (Assistentinkatu 7, 20014 Turun yliopisto, 20500 Turku). Keynote is organized in the Mauno Koivisto lecture hall (Pub 1) on the first floor of the Publicum. Workshops are located in the seminar rooms of both buildings. The final location and time of the workshops will be decided according to the turnout of the workshops after the deadline for enrollment. Organizers try to take into account the wishes of the workshops’ chairpersons.

Arrival in Turku and accommodation

Arrival:

If you’re arriving in Turku by train or bus, you should know the route from Kupittaa’s station (buses and trains), Central Railway Station, or Bus Terminal to the university campus.

Membership of FPSA

The membership fee for the FPSA is 50 €. For bachelor- and master level students the students membership fee is 20 €. Student membership can last five years at most. As a student member you will have the same benefits and rights as a full member. You can also pay a 70 € supporting member fee.

The membership is ongoing.

Conference dinner

The conference dinner will be held at restaurant Grädda (Piispankatu 15, 20500, Turku) on May 16 at 19.00 o’clock.
