Quantum Future
Have you ever heard about quantum technologies and wanted to learn more about it? No matter your background and previous knowledge of quantum technologies, this workshop is for you!
At the Quantum Future -workshop we want to facilitate an environment which allows student-driven discovery. We want to excite students about math and science on a quantum scale.
QJunior Workshop Online
Our online workshop is dedicated to the high school students who are 14 years old or older. The workshop is conducted by QWorld on July 4-5, 2020, which is co-organized by University of Latvia, University of Namibia, University of Turku, and Aion.
This workshop will be free of charge, and we will accept 24 applicants from Namibia, South Africa, Finland, and Sweden. (We will organize more online workshops over the time.)
We use Zoom and Discord for implementing the online workshop. During the workshop, we use the tutorial ”Bronze” prepared by QWorld. It is a collection of Jupyter notebooks and each notebook has a couple of programming tasks to be solved by the participants. We use python to code our quantum programs.

The applicants are expected to know at least one programming language. (We will share a python tutorial in advance with the accepted applicants.)
