Career monitoring for 2026 has begun

The career monitoring round for 2026 has begun. Data on employment is collected from persons who have graduated with a master’s degree five years earlier or with a doctoral degree three years earlier. The survey is open until 7 December.

Universities monitor the employment of graduates and the early stages of their careers by carrying out an annual national career monitoring survey. Career monitoring has been carried out for over 20 years. This year, the target group includes persons who have completed a master’s degree in 2021 or a doctoral degree in 2023. Members of the target group will receive a personal invitation to respond to the survey.

Why are careers monitored?

Career monitoring collects information on the graduates’ employment status and their current jobs at the time of the survey. Graduates are also asked to assess their satisfaction with their degree and career to date, and to describe the factors that have influenced their employment.

The feedback enables the University to better develop the content of its curricula to meet the needs of working life. The responses also have an impact on the funding the University receives from the government.

Responding will help develop education and support current students’ career planning

The information gathered from alumni is an important resource for curriculum planning. It is important for the University to gather a diverse range of information from the labour market in order to ensure that decisions regarding the content of education are made based on as much information as possible.

The responses and views of our graduates help current students to gain an understanding of the opportunities available and the skills required in different fields. This means that by completing the survey, you are also helping current students.
