The University of Turku has over 20,000 students. By being more visible among students, you can attract the most qualified applicants for your recruitment needs. We offer various options to enhance employer visibility based on your needs.
Our visibility services
Student group visits
If you’d like to raise your organisation’s visibility among local students and graduates, UTU Career Services can help by organising student group visits to your facilities. These visits offer a great chance to meet potential future candidates and promote your company and its services. This service is free of charge.
We coordinate the student group and prepare them in advance. Since the groups include both Finnish and international students, we ask that the visits are in English. We also aim to match the visiting group with your organisation’s field of interest.
Visit details:
Visits last one workday. As the host, we ask you to provide:
- A short (up to 1 hour) presentation in English
- A tour of your facilities
- Time for students to chat with you and your employees
- Optionally, for the students to participate in a workshop, meeting or other activity
How to get involved:
Email rekry@utu.fi or lotta.metsarinne(a)utu.fi to express your interest in hosting a student group.
We’ll schedule a short meeting to go over the details (timing, group size, field, location).
UTU Career Services then opens a call for participants, confirms the visit 2–3 weeks in advance, and sends you the student list one week before the visit.
Thesis fair participation
The UTU Career Services organises a UNICOM+ Thesis Fair & Talent Bridge event in Spring 2026. This will provide an excellent platform for employers to connect with master’s degree students who are seeking thesis or final project placements. This service is free of charge.
This event allows organisations to present their operations, showcase possible thesis opportunities, and engage with students who are eager to apply their academic knowledge to real-world projects.
Job Advertisements
Universities use the JobTeaser platform to communicate open positions to students. Posting advertisements is free for employers, and with one posting, you can reach students from other universities as well. Your first time using the service will involve creating your own account.
