Keynotes

  • The time allocated for keynotes is 60 minutes (recommended 45 minutes for the presentation, and an additional 10-15 minutes for audience discussion and questions).

Invited symposia

Invited symposia represent the work of expert researchers focused on a specific topic.

  • Each symposium has a chairperson and includes 3 to 4 presentations (recommended 10-15 minutes for each presentation, and an additional 15 minutes for audience discussion and questions).
  • The time allocated for each invited symposium is 75 minutes.

Equipment provided: Laptop connected to an LCD projector, podium with microphone.

Symposia

A symposium provides an opportunity to examine specific research issues, problems, or topics from a variety of perspectives.

  • Each symposium has a chairperson and includes 3 to 4 presentations (either 3 presenters with a discussant, 3 presenters without discussant, or 4 presenters without discussant)
  • The time allocated for each symposium is 75 minutes (recommended 15 minutes for each presentation, and an additional 15 minutes for audience discussion and questions).

Roundtable Discussions

A roundtable discussion can take different forms, depending on how the chair of the session chooses to organize it.  It can be a panel discussion among experts on a specific topic, or it can be more interactive, including participants from the audience in the discussion.

  • The time allocated for Roundtable Discussions is 75 minutes.

Oral Presentations

Oral presentations are grouped into thematic sessions, with several presentations exploring a similar research topic.

  • Each session has a chairperson and includes 4 to 5 presentations.
  • The time allocated for each session is 75 minutes (recommended 10-15 minutes for each presentation, and an additional 10-15 minutes for audience discussion and questions).

Poster Presentations

Poster sessions combine the graphic display of materials with the opportunity for individualized, informal discussion on a variety of research topics.

  • Posters sessions are held in the afternoons from Tuesday to Thursday at 15:15-16:45.
  • Posters are displayed as printout
  • Posters can be displayed in the poster hall during the whole day – please note that the poster session itself lasts for 90 minutes.
  • The presenting author should be available throughout the session and be prepared to have their display removed no more than 10 minutes after the end of the session.
  • Poster size is max A0 (84,1 x 118,9 cm). The layout is vertical.
  • To find your poster wall, please check the poster schedule on our website. There you will see your poster number (note that this is NOT your submission ID). The poster walls will have numbers on them – find the wall with your poster number on it and hang the poster before the session begins.

Equipment provided: poster boards and pins for hanging posters.

Please note that the organisers cannot assume any liability for loss or damage of posters displayed in the poster area.

Submitting presentation slides in Logomo

Submitting presentation slides

We kindly ask presenting authors to submit their presentation slides at our drop-in station. The drop-in station will be located in Logomo Front Hall, near the registration desk. On Monday the station is open from 16.00 to 18.00. From Tuesday to Friday the station is open from 8.00 until the last parallel sessions.

Please upload your presentation well in advance – preferably the day before, and by latest the same morning!

We recommend having your slides on a flash drive with you.
