ECDP conference registration fees include:

  • Attendance in the scientific programme and conference materials (conference app)
  • Coffees on the conference days as marked in the programme
  • Welcome Ceremony on Monday, 28 August
  • Walking tour “Explore the hood” on Tuesday, 29 August (for  participants who selected the activity in the registration form)
  • Public transportation (Participants will receive complimentary bus passes for Turku region public transport, which enable unlimited use of local bus services during the conference)

Lunch tickets cost 11,50 eur per day. Tickets are purchased in advance via the registration form. We warmly recommend participants to purchase lunch tickets, as other lunch options in the conference area are limited.

All conference participants are also invited to attend the pre-conference workshops on Monday, 28 August. You can register for pre-conferences in connection with ECDP 2023 conference registration.

On the registration form you will also be able to register for the following evening events:

  • Gala dinner “Party like a king” takes place on Thursday, 31 August. Tickets cost 120 eur (the price includes a 3-course meal and performances in Turku castle)
  • Excursion “Relax like a Finn” takes place on Friday. Tickets cost 90 eur (the price includes transportation, dinner and sauna at Herrankukkaro resort)

EADP Travel Fellowships for early career scholars

EADP Travel Fellowships to attend the European Conference on Developmental Psychology

The European Association for Developmental Psychology will sponsor early career researchers with travel awards, in the amount of 250 €, to help them to participate in the ECDP 2023 in Turku, Finland.

Who can apply?

Applications are welcome from early career scholars from around the world who are PhD students or who defended their dissertation not earlier than 2019. Membership of EADP is necessary.

How to apply?

Please send the following documents to the Early Researchers’ Union at the EADP event and secretary support Ana Catarina Canário ( from March 16 to April 15, 2023.

  1. Title and abstract of your accepted presentation at the EADP conference,
  2. Description of your research (max 500 words),
  3. Current CV including education and major academic achievements (max 1 A4 page),
  4. Personal statement explaining how attending the EADP conference will help advancing your career and work (max 250 words)

Notifications about the application results should be sent by the award committee by May 15, 2023.

The registration fees are not subject to VAT, except for separate social programme and lunch tickets where VAT 24 % is applied.

3) PDF invoice (payment with bank transfer). An invoicing fee of 10 EUR will be added.
A PDF invoice will be sent to your e-mail address after you have submitted your registration. In case you are not paying the invoice yourself, please forward it to the right person. Terms of payment: 14 days net.

4) E-invoice (for Finnish organisations only). An invoicing fee of 10 EUR will be added.
An e-invoice will be sent to the e-invoicing address provided. Terms of payment: 14 days net.

Invoices: Please make sure to give a correct invoicing address. An extra invoicing charge of 10 EUR will be added in case a new invoice is processed (revised PDF or e-invoice due to a wrong address, or otherwise modified).

* Paytrail Plc (FI2122839-7) acts as a collecting payment service provider in cooperation with Finnish banks and credit institutions. Paytrail Plc is authorized payment institution. Paytrail Plc appears as the payee on the bank statement or card invoice and forwards the payment to the event organizer. In case of reclamations, please contact the event organizer.

The registration fees are invoiced by Aboa Congress and Event Services (VAT FI2805028-8) on behalf of the local organiser University of Turku (VAT FI0245896-3).

All payments must be made in euros (EUR).

Cancellation Policy & Insurance

Cancellation of registration must be made in writing (email) to before 31 July 2023. No fees will be refunded after this date (participation can be transferred to another person).  A processing fee of EUR 50 will be deducted from all refunds.

In the event that the meeting is cancelled by the Meeting Organisers, or cannot take place for any reason outside the control of the Meeting Organisers, the registration fee shall be refunded in full. The liability of the Meeting Organiser shall be limited to that refund.

Please note that the meeting participants are not covered by any insurance (travel, medical, accident or liability) taken by the Meeting Organisers. The Meeting Organisers cannot accept liability for any loss or damage suffered by any participant or accompanying person or another person during travel to and from the meeting or during the meeting. Participants are advised to consider purchasing their own travel insurance and to extend their personal policy to cover personal possessions.

Change of the Participant

At any time after registration, in case you will be unable to attend for any reason, you will have the opportunity to send a colleague in your place with no additional cost. In such case, please contact Aboa Congress and Event at as soon as possible.

Invitation letter

If you need an invitation letter for visa application, it is prerequisite that you contact Aboa Congress and Event at before you make the registration and payment. Please indicate which conference you wish to attend, include your affiliation (organization, organization’s address, country) and the title of your accepted paper to be presented in the ECDP 2023 Conference.
