Three courses on law & new materialism ongoing in fall 2022!
In fall 2022 three courses exploring the uneasy relationship between law and different expressions of power from a new materialist perspective are open at the Faculty of Law:
- “Postmodern and posthuman challenges to law” (TLS_0092). Teacher: Juho Aalto
- “Challenging the legal truth” (TLS_0099). Teacher: Amalia Verdu Sanmartin
- “Law and the urban” (TLS_0100). Teacher: Miriam Tedeschi
In spring 2023 a specialisation course (“Looking for justice. Law, power and the digital city“) going more in depth into the topics of how
- law materially affects the everyday life (in terms of discrimination, sexuality, rights and obligations);
- law shapes the design and fruition of urban spaces, and affects individuals’ urban everyday lives;
- the digital influences the emergence of (un)just practices in the urban.
will be organised. Stay tuned for more info!
