Participate in a survey investigating urban data-doubles! QR-code

This survey explores our ‘urban data-doubles’. The data-doubles may be our digital fingerprints, digital copies, the ones that we generate and carry with us daily, wherever we are and whatever we do. We constantly feed them with e.g. geo-location information, activity-tracking devices, interactions in social media, or the use of services via Internet, apps, etc. Data-doubles are created in and through e.g. smartphones, laptops, smartwatches, digital wrist bands, smart home devices and move and are spread across information systems. The purpose of this study is to better understand the data-doubles’ behaviour, how it affects our being in and experiencing the urban space. The study seeks research participants over 18 years old.

There are no risks, harms, or discomfort resulting from this research. Please consider completing the survey here: Go to the survey ‘Your urban data-doubles’. It takes between five and ten minutes, to complete it.

Dr. Miriam Tedeschi, researcher at the Faculty of Law, University of Turku, will carry out this research during 2023-2024 in Finland and Sweden. The study is funded by the Academy of Finland (for more information and the privacy notice please visit the project’s website https://www.utu.fi/judice). The study includes a short survey and, only if the research participant is willing to continue, an optional qualitative study where they will keep a daily diary.
