Child gut-brain axis ‒ Impact of early gut microbiome on neurocognitive development

The project aims to investigate the role of gut microbiota in the neurodevelopment of children, focusing on how specific microbial compositions and functions contribute to brain development and behavioral outcomes. In addition, the cytokine composition of breast milk and its effect on gut microbiota and neurocognitive outcomes of children is explored.
