Influence of maternal obesity and gestational diabetes on breast milk composition: A multi-omics approach

The objective of this study is to investigate the influence of maternal factors, especially obesity and GDM, on the metabolomics, lipidomics, and proteomics profiles of breast milk. Adopting a multi-omics approach, the research aims to unveil potential alterations in the omics profiles, identifying biomarkers that predict adverse health outcomes in mothers and infants, and to assess the impact of dietary intervention with fish oil and/or probiotics on these profiles and biomarkers.
