Group activities
Principles of a safer space for activities:
1) Everyone is welcome to participate in the activities as they are, and we treat each other with respect and without prejudice.
2) Everyone has the right to set their own boundaries, and we respect each other’s physical space and integrity.
3) Conversations and the atmosphere of the club should remain accessible to everyone. We are polite and give everyone the opportunity to be heard and seen.
4) You can participate in the activities based on your own resources, and you can leave club meetings on your own schedule.
5) If you experience or witness harassment, report it either to a club leader or afterwards to the activity coordinator Heidi Vuoristo heivuor@utu.fi
After School club
The Afternoon Club is a low-threshold activity organized by On My Mind -activities. We gather people together weekly both in the spring and autumn semesters to enjoy shared activities. All students are welcome to join, regardless of their background. The goal is to offer a sense of community and enjoyable things to do alongside studies.
Each club session is hosted by at least two support students. You’re welcome to come alone or with friends and just as you are! The club’s program is planned one semester at a time and includes a variety of different activities.
