What kind of teachers should we train for the future?

Rauma Teacher Training School is part of the globally prestigious Faculty of Education of the University of Turku, whose Teacher Education program trains comprehensively qualified and versatile skilled teachers in Turku and Rauma. Both locations have a teacher training school where teacher practice is conducted.

Teacher students are an enriching resource for our community. Our teachers support students’ growth in teaching through interaction and involvement. The guidance is based on a goal-oriented and continuously evolving curriculum for teaching practice. As a global player, our school is also known for implementing international teaching practice.

We are actively involved in the production and export of continuing education for teaching staff. Continuing education, self-improvement, and acting as a provider of continuing education falls under the responsibility of the teacher training school staff.
