Quality of Nursing Care

Development of the preliminary basis for the evaluation of the quality of nursing care 1990-1992
The basis for the evaluation consists of
a) characteristics of the actor (nurse, professional)
b) activities (nursing actions)
c) goals of the activities
d) ways of acting
e) environment

Interviews of patients in different clinical fields were made for looking after new categories of quality of nursing care were sought. This phase was made in close connection with the masters students in the Department of Nursing Science in the University of Turku.
