New Report Released: Indicators for Academic and Life Skill Development
The Dig-2-Inc project has published its final report under Work Package 4: Indicators for the Follow-Up Competence Development of Academic and Life Skills. This deliverable provides a framework for assessing and supporting the development of digital and life competences among students, with a special focus on those from low socioeconomic backgrounds.
Building on previous reports in WP4, the document explores how European competence frameworks – such as DigComp, LifeComp, EntreComp, and GreenComp – can be practically adapted for use in higher education. It also introduces templates for competence grids and qualitative/quantitative indicators that universities can use to monitor student development, identify gaps, and improve employability outcomes.
The report emphasizes the importance of a locally grounded, bottom-up approach to competence assessment, recommending that universities tailor their indicators to the specific needs of their student populations.
The Dig-2-Inc project promotes inclusive digital education through international collaboration, involving partners from six European countries. To learn more, browse this project website or contact the research team directly.
