Funding for research infrastructure & green and digital transition
Hydrological Research Infrastructure Platform (HYDRO-RI) got its share of Academy of Finland’s funding for research infrastructures. Three-year funding granted to Universities of Turku and Oulu, Aalto University, National Land Survey of Finland and Finnish Environmental Institute will be used in purchasing new measuring equipment for hydrological research. The network will get access to equipment that is not yet in commercial use enabling new types of measurement campaigns.
In addition, Academy of Finland’s special funding for research on key areas of green and digital transition was granted for Universities of Turku and Oulu, Aalto University, Finnish Geospatial Research Institute and Finnish Environmental Institute. The project “Vihreä ja digitaalinen siirtymä valuma-aluetasoisessa vesivarojen hallinnassa” aims for green and digital transition in catchment level water management. The funding period is three years.
