Apply for a study right

The person selected for the position of doctoral researcher in the doctoral education pilot project is required to have a doctoral degree study right at the University of Turku, which has been granted on 1.11.2023 at the earliest, and to have demonstrated the ability to pursue postgraduate studies and a doctoral degree in accordance with the research plan. The eligibility requirements for doctoral researchers are laid down in the University of Turku Rules of Procedure.

If you do not have the right to study for a doctoral degree at the University of Turku, and you intend to apply for a doctoral researcher position starting from 1.8.2024, you must apply for the right to study for a doctoral degree in the spring 2024 application rounds. The study rights are applied for through the doctoral programmes. 

Next application period (only some doctoral programmes):

1 May 2024 – 15 May 2024 at 3 pm  (Europe/Helsinki). Study right begins on 1 August 2024.

In this application period you can apply for the following doctoral programmes:

  • Doctoral Programme in Exact Sciences (EXACTUS)
  • Finnish Doctoral Programme in Oral Sciences (FINDOS Turku)
  • Doctoral Programme on Educational Policy, Lifelong Learning and Comparative Education Research (KEVEKO)
  • Drug Research Doctoral Programme (DRDP)
  • Turku Doctoral Programme of Molecular Medicine (TuDMM)
  • Doctoral Programme on Learning, Teaching and Learning Environments Research (OPPI)
  • Doctoral Programme in Technology (DPT)
  • Doctoral Programme in Clinical Research (DPCR)
