Karta öfver jernvägarne i Finland
1887
Finland had already had a railway for 25 years when this map was published in 1887. The railway network was concentrated in southern and western Finland, Oulu being the northernmost railway station in Finland. If you wanted to travel from Turku to Helsinki by train, you had to travel through Hämeenlinna, because the construction of the Coastal Railway didn’t begin until the following decade.
