Matkailijakarttoja matkustuksia varten Suomessa
Suomen Matkailijayhdistys, 1890

The publication of travel literature was one of the most important activities of Suomen Matkailijayhdistys (1887-1965). The map book published in 1890 contains 16 maps of Finland’s most important tourist areas, such as Imatra, Punkaharju and the Saimaa Canal. For example, Helsinki was not included in the book at all. The map book used ready-made printing plates from the general survey of the National Land Survey of Finland, only a few maps were drawn separately for the needs of passengers.
