According to the principle of continuous development, since 2016 changes have been made to different chapters of the Rauma Teacher Training School’s curriculum in 2019 and 2020.

Use the Chapter descriptions to find the information you are looking for.

Chapters are only in Finnish.

Chapters 1-3

Chapter 1 provides the context for the meaning of the curriculum and the norms that define the document.

Chapter 2 describes the values and the conception of learning.

Chapter 3 deals with aspects of broad-based competence.

Chapters 4-6

Chapter 4 describes operating culture for example work habits, integrative instruction, and multidisciplinary modules.

Chapter 5 describes matters related to the school day such as security, inclusion, cooperation between home and school, maintaining a tranquil work environment and rules.

Chapter 6 is related to evaluation including a description of how studies progress, behavior, and subject evaluations, report cards and graduation assessment.

Chapters 7-8

Chapter 7 is a description of support for learning.

Chapter 8 describes student welfare.

Chapters 9-15

Chapter 9 deals with language and culture.

Chapter 10 describes bilingual teaching, i.e. the curriculum of the language-oriented track of the teacher training school.

(Chapter 11 has not been drawn up because Rauma Teacher Training School does not carry out teaching based on any particular worldview.)

Chapter 12 describes the options available in the teacher training school.

Chapters 13-15 provide a brief general description of the different grade groupings (1-2, 3-6 and 7-9).
